Earning Fleet PointsFleet Points are the points used to purchase ships for a nations war efforts. Fleet points keep ships updated and can also be used to purchase new ships and/or replace losses. Whilst each nation will have a standing fleet, it is possible they could have a much larger fleet as ATS goes on.
Each nation in ATS will find themselves ravelled in a story arc upon starting the game, whether it be diplomacy, fighting direct or proxy wars, or a stalemate in the galactic council. These events will usually stretch over a few weeks or months in OOC time, and IC time they will be differing lengths of time. In order to keep timescale in the ATS universe, after every major plot arc has finished for a nation, the roleplay will skip forward 1 year.
In this one year your nation is expected to feel the consequences of your previous RPs, this also allows them to get more fleet points. Fleet points are also awarded if the particular plot arc they were trying to achieve allowed them to effectively add to their economy. An example of the time skip is below;
